I have a 2008 Clubman and decided to clay, wash, and wax it today. As I was wiping off the polish from the hood, the front passemger side turn signal lamp came on by itself. The key was out of the ignition at the time. So I started the car played with the turn signals, headlights, etc. and the front turn signal would not blink but stayed on. I ended up unhooking the battery for a couple of hours and hooked it back up and it still came on. So I unhooked the battery so it wouldn't be drained and that is where it stands.

Is there something that I am missing or is there a short somewhere? The closest dealer is over a 100 miles away and I would like to avoid taking it there if possible.

Funny, I am having this exact same problem! Waxed the hood and head lights and I heard the static and now the front left turn signal is on always no matter what!

I know this is several years old, but I hope someone found a solution!
