Vibration in the gas peddle

Will sound silly, but I am not sure my MINI has always done this. But there is a fairly strong vibration in my gas peddle, especially at cruising speeds (6th gear around 70-75 MPH). I feel it at other speeds as well, but mainly while at a constant speed.

The only major things I've done are the short shift kit and the 15% pulley. If the pulley/belt were slightly off center, could this cause my problem? What other things could cause it? I know it's a broad question, but hopefully something will come of it.

THats very strange, because the MCS has a thorttle by wire - no thorttle cable...

More than likely you might have something like the exhaust hitting the floor in the area near the pedal. Since there is no mechanical connection to the pedal, this would be the only plausible explanation. You might also have a loose engine mount near that area too.

Hmm, engine mount loose. The lower engine mount did have to come undone for the pulley install. I'll have to get under there and see if I can find it.

Remember, too, that you DID hit something back in October that wreaked havoc with your front end. Maybe it affected something underneath as well.

naw - my MINI does this too, albiet only marginally. No broken anything, just a funky resonance mode. Usually at highway cruising speed, depends on the pavement texture, and especially what tire I have on. I chalk it up to the nature of the beast.

Welsh - It did it before the exhaust pipe incident, but a good thought.

Thanks for the warm fuzzy. I was curious if others felt the buzz as well.

I also feel a slight vibration in my box stock '04 MCS, except that I can also feel it it the clutch and the steering wheel. It seems to be most prevelent when I am coasting (slogging through Chicago rush hour traffic). I first thought it was a combination of the tires (Goodyear 17" Runflats) and the pavement, but I'm wondering if its something in the drivetrain. The amount of vibration I feel is not objectionable, however, if somethings going wrong, I want to fix it before it gets worse. I have only driven one other MCS (original test drive), so I don't have any reference if this is normal. Any feedback would be appreciated.
