Another diverter valve thread
Hi guys. 2008 R55, RPM stage 2 tune, Mariokart dp, ATM ic, Typhoon intake, 122k miles, fresh plugs, hpfp, thermostat. Up to date on all services, etc.
About a week ago I nailed it in second gear and went into limp mode. Drive easy and it clears, rev above 4 grand and limp mode again. No codes stored, but got a fluttering sound right before limp mode each time
I dropped Mario a text and he suggested diverter valve. I pulled the valve and it looked fine, no rips in the diaphragm, no cracks in the plastic, good tension and seal looked fine. I replaced it anyway with the newer style, and all is well in the world again, runs great all the way through.
I'm posting this just in hopes of helping those searching, that a bad dv doesn’t necessarily look bad. I hope it helps!
