Ok so let me start out by saying that i bought this car as project/daily.
Day 3. Clutch goes, new one gets installed,
Day 5. having hard time starting, turns out needs a new timing chain. Done under recall.
Day 12. Battery terminals are missing parts for secure c9nnection, new battery and connectors.
Issues im still having
1. Coolant going missing but no oil or anything in resevoir tank. Used to have over heating issues until mini service fixed that during timing chain recall. Most likely culptit for coolant is thermostat housing.
2. Burning oil like crazy/ slight oil leak. This is the big one. I have multiple misfire codes across all 4 cylinders but good compression in all cylinders. Was told by mini during timing chain service That there was tons of carbon buildup. Do Hydro tunes since i have access to it. Need to probqbly do a walnut clean or whatever its called. Have oil all under neath where the tubro is but not directly under turbo itself.
Just looking for a little insight on what possible oil consumption and coolant leaks could be. Dont think i have a head gasket leak or i would have nore issues. I still have a hard time starting sometimes so im assuming 1 of the 2 furl pumps is gping out. Any ideas or knowledge will help

Without pics, it is a bit difficult to diagnose blind, but:
1) coolant is likely t-stat housing and/or oil filter housing gasket and/or coolant pipe and/or hose connected under reservoir; pressure test the system and you will see where it it pouring out
2) oil can leak from a number of places, oil turbo lines, oil filter housing, front main seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and vac pump leaks should be checked
3) misfires are typically plugs and coils, valve cover gasket can also leak here
4) hard/slow starting sounding like a lawn mower engine is typically the HPFP and needs to be replaced

Thats sounds about what ive figured out for myself. Ill get photos later today and post them to you so you kind of know what im looking at underneath the car. I see no leaks from the top of the engine but plenty of oil on the underside where ypu cant see past the turbo.
07 with a thermostat code. Garage said everything checks out good. Said that the parameters on the thermostat and the computer are different. Went back to the and they opened up the parameters all the way. Check engine light was off for 2 days and now is back on. Any ideas?

Here is the link for the thermostat

Thanks. Had the car for 6 years. Changed the thermostat a couple of months after I got it and I’m on the third one now. I’ve been told the same thing by two different garages. Both say there is nothing wrong with the thermostat and it’s not hurting the car. Just hate seeing that light.
