Drivers Side Footwell Leak?

So... cleaning out my car yesterday, I had the floor liners out so I could wash them off and vacuum out the crap from the winter. I noticed that the drivers side footwell carpeting was slightly damp? Not sure where the water might be coming from, but it seemed like it was wet.

My question is: Where might this water be coming from? Any suggestions to troubleshoot?

Would it be a drain tube somewhere, or the seal around the roof glass?

yes, it would be the drain tube. you could gently push down the headliner just next to the side sunvisor. Also, you could put water in the drains to see if it leaks too. another spot, rarely though, is the door foot light. my countryman drips from there lol

Where does the drain tube exit? Nothing about the floor seems to be wet.... Like I can’t tell where it would be coming from.

it exits behind the fenders. if you pour some water, you'll see it dripping sort of hind the wheel. the tube itself is about 3", the rest is a metal tube to dump the water.

So, if that small tube is dislodged, it will drip inside the car and puddle in the footwell? Ugh.

yup. the water will travel from the headliner to the pillar cover all the way passing the FRM (in some cases damaging it) then onto the floor. the passenger side is also the same case if a leak were to happen.

Well, my FRM still appears to be functioning ok... for now. I’ll have to check it out.

Thanks for the help.

Is the sunroof drain tube the only access point for water into the footwell?

That and the sunroof itself, junk gets right before the drain tubes and you get a heavy rain, it spills over the tray.
Also we have seen leaks from door seals on the glass not seating. One time i saw a guy with a front windshield not done right and it leaked from there.

I had tried dumping water in the sunroof tray, and it seemed to be draining correctly; I didn't see any coming into the car.

We had some pretty heavy rain last night / this morning, and the foot well was dry. Not sure if I was hallucinating before, or if the problem has miraculously remedied itself.

I appreciate the input for troubleshooting.

I am having pints of water dumped onto my driver footwell. Start of story.... I had water in passenger side well. Found rubber hose at top was off. Reattached. It came off one more time so I bought new ones for both sides in the front. The headliner was coming out for replacing and installed the two rubber pieces with some adhesive. Seemed to be OK for about a month. Got in car today, first time in about a week, and now drivers side is soaked. Pulled off A pillar interior cover and while pouring water from the sunroof, water started pouring out of the lowest clip hole where A pillar mounts. Blew air into that hole and water blew out at me, telling me the water is up that high in behind that panel. How does the water drain? Looks like behind the rocker trim panel but can't tell where exactly. Any diagrams? Is there a tube within those panels that is leaking? Every drawing I found only calls out the rubber drain tubes at the top
