Miss firing

My is a R56 LCI, N18 engine, 2yrs old, mileage 59k.
Recently when I fire up my car in the morning. The exhaust sound is loud and sometime have miss firing. after awhile back to normal. The engine check light will light up and it will appear this message on the screen the: full engine power no longer available. Possible to continue journey,
Drive moderately.
Send to agent as it is still under warranty. After collecting my car from agent this engine check light become on and off, it will appear the fault sometime it won't.
Agent claim they have replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, retune. Still can't solve this problem. Anyone have face this problem before?

What are the CEL codes? I would just keep bringing it back to the dealer since you say it is under warranty.

Some owners have gotten the P0087 code from not tightening the gas cap. It has something to do with your fuel system. Like Bram said, bring it back. The message you got basically means the ECU has put the vehicle in limp mode.

If I had to guess, it's the fuel pump still. It doesn't matter what your agent said he replaced. The issue is still there, they have to keep troubleshooting/fixing it under warranty.

After the dealer completed the carbon cleaning, replacing the fuel injectors and spark plugs, they replaced the high pressure fuel pump and no problems since. It was probably about the same mileage you have on my 08 MCS.

There is 2 codes P0087
P0087 Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low. But again many have had the gas cap cause the problem. Most likey is the fuel pump though.

Er gas cap is the cap that you take off to fill fuel into your MINI. Do they call it something else in Aussie land? Last I visited, it was still called a gas cap. 0.o Crikey...

How do we know if the gas cap is loose?

It seem tight for my gas cap, with clip sound while opening it.

If it's tight then probably the gas cap is ok.
