n14 no oil pressure (no not the filter housing or pump)

Hello all. first time on the forum. i have a 2007 R56 Auto and after changing the gaskets on the oil filter housing (several time to try and solve this problem) i have no oil pressure. I have checked the drain back valve and inspected the pump (including removal). I still get no oil pressure. Just as a last ditch check, I removed the valve cover to see if I had any oil getting to the valve train. I had my daughter start the car as I watched. I had a geyser of oil coming from the Orifice in the picture. can anyone tell me if this is normal? is there a fix?

TIA

this is correct. oil should be shooting from there (the arrow in the picture) AND where the vacuum pump sits.

Well, that takes me back to square one. If I'm getting oil shooting out there, doesn't that mean I have some oil pressure to the rest of the engine. (OP Sensor has been replaced.)

the light comes right away?

Try to take the valve cover off and sort of pour the oil all over, across the lifter and across the top. Also make sure the sensor it plugged tight.

I will do that tomorrow. Looks like I'll have to troubleshoot the sensor and light a little more.

I tried the pouring oil around the top of the head. Still have the oil light. I did not see oil squirting from anywhere near the vacuum pump though. Low oil pressure? Where exactly is i supposed to come from? I'm taking the switch to work to test it. But like I said, it's new. I verified that with the sensor unplugged i have no light and it is grounded when plugged in.

Question, I've seen where a loose pump chain can cause a flicker at idle. Has any one seen it cause a steady light even above idle? The chain is loose but not enough to slip teeth.
