2008 Cooper S 123k miles starts then dies
My car will crank and "start" then it will die. There is no CEL's being thrown.
The only problem I know it currently has is a cracked PCV hose. Would that cause this issue?
The HPFP was replaced about 5k miles ago at the dealer along with the fuel line. But no CEL's so i don't think it's that. I also replaced two of the coil packs with OEM's form ECS to match the other OEM packs.
My valve cover is starting to go as i see slight oil seepage.
Thanks in advance!

Does it sound like its missing or rough idle when it runs?

Long shot but I ran into this behavior years ago with a brother in law's new Toyota Corolla something or other.
Long story short the problem proved to be a bad fuse. There was a fuse on the engine start circuit -- which was fine -- and a fuse on a separate engine run circuit. The fuse on the engine run circuit was bad. No electrical problem the fuse just died prematurely because after replacing the fuse the engine fired right up and ran just fine and the fuse never failed after that.

Check your electrical connections, then fuel and if the HPFP has a fault, if not swap the coils and see if the plugs are full of gas and not firing, you might have the other coils bad.

UPDATE! I think my fuel pump was just seized up because it stated running ok once i gave it gas and held it at around 1500-1800 RPM. It did display the common symptoms but the fuel pump was replaced under recall at 119K about 2 years ago and only has around 4-5k miles on it. (i don't drive it alot).
THEN! I knew my pcv hose was cracked, but I did not know how much of a difference it made. Once I replaced that (which ended up being rather easy, just intimidating at first). No one CEL's and passed smog well. I did get another CEL earlier tonight for MAP or mass airflow sensor/ unmetered air, but I'm hoping it just needs some cleaning. It has been running well for the past 5 days and still did despite the CEL.
Now i have to figure out why my AC isn't blowing cold air. Compressor engages, but i have a hollow sound coming from the vents and center console (it sounds like a leak). Haven't checked if this is the case but we shall see.
Thanks to everyone for their help!
