Dash warning lights flicker
Hi all
My daughters Mini Cooper s convertible with the centre factory sat nav unit has been producing
a fault for the last few months which have struggled to find.
Randomly on journeys normally after car has warmed up she will have the warning lights above the nav screen
ie,airbag, boot open, brake pad wear, seat belt, low tyre pressure, engine over heat and check gas cap all light up and stay on for a period of time.Sometimes they stay on even when shuts engine down removes key and exits vehicle.Occasionally the fault will be the pad warning light and the seat belt light flickers when the directional indicators are being used on either left or right turns.I have so far checked battery and alternator charging all ok,cleaned all earthing points including battery terminals etc. Most recently I removed the body control module and sent it away to a specialist who refurbished the printed circuit board but the fault still remains. There are a couple of people on here who have reported the same fault but no resolution has been posted. The car runs and performs spot on and everything works as it should. Its a 2007 r52 cooper s convertible no modifications all original equipment including audio I hope someone can offer some clues many thanks
