2011 S N18 Engine: Eccentric Shaft motor Issue

Hello, A little background: I bought this Mini with an over heated engine. It had a warped head, replaced that and put new ring, bearing, water pump, timing chain, etc in it. Have it running well except for the eccentric shaft. I have tried to get the computer to relearn the position of the shaft but it keeps rotating all the way counter-clock wise until the half engine light comes on and it goes into limp mode. It doesn't seem to reset when the key is put in either. I have replaced the eccentric motor with another used motor and have the same issue but this seems to be more software than hardware. Can anyone help? Thanks

Yes, i did it exactly the way they instructed. Except I don't know what they mean by "Check function of Digital Engine Electronics". Thanks Mike
