Changed thermostat housing now car is in limp mode

Hello!

Just changed the thermostat housing in my clubman and now when it turns on it automatically brings up the half engine light. Won't accelerate at high speeds sometimes. Only had this light come on before which is when I ended up replacing my HPFP and that fixed everything. But the car acted differently before. Gas mileage is pretty much the same. Thoughts?

Do you have a way to read the codes? I would suggest for starters to go back over everything you did and the areas you worked in, and look for any loose connections or something that didn’t get plugged back in. That’s my first step if something comes up after I do something to the car, generally it’s often something I overlooked.
When I replaced my turbo, I had an airbag light pop on, and could not figure out why....on my 4th recheck, I found that one of the accelerometers was unplugged. I was sure I didn’t even do anything near it, but I must have unhooked it putting it into the service position or something.

Also check all of the electrical connections really well. Sometimes they look good, but it hasn’t been pushed quite far enough for it to click and lock into place. I guess I’m saying even if it looks connected double check and make sure it’s plugged in properly and good and secure.
