2f07 Map Thermostat , mechanism. Already changed the thermostat.

Hi there! I have a 07 r56 with 132k miles. My friend changed the thermostat housing for some oe replacement and i'm getting the code with oem old coolant sensor and with the generic sensor that came with the part. I've tried to flush the system with distilled water but looks like the car is running even colder. The fan also is comming on at 88 89 degrees celsius. Should i buy a new OEM mini sensor or it could be something else?

did you properly bleed the system? there is a plastic screw on the housing (be gentle with it) turn it and the air come out. make sure the connectors plugged in properly and to the right sensors.

We stopped selling the aftermarket thermostats for these cars due to a high failure rate of them, we only recommend the OE units.

Have you cleared the codes and started the car again? If the car is an auto you also need to clear the codes from the trans control module, as they can ghost to the DME and give you fault codes and issues for problems that aren't current.

Are you sure the connectors are correct on the temp sensor? We've seen multiple cars in that someone plugged the PCV heater into the temp sensor and fried the thermostat.
