I feel that I should provide closure to my comments on this thread. I have been fighting this DSC/ABS issue with the RH rear wheel speed sensor for a year and a half. In the end I finally found that the wire harness was indeed compromised, so even though I was getting voltage at the blue connector in front of the right rear wheel, it wasn't enough. The damaged section of wire was about eight inches from that blue connector and it was hidden under the protective harness wrap (black tape). Once I peeled it back, it was apparent that the power wire was nicked at some time allowing exposure of the copper core. the copper corroded over time and as it did so, the resistance increased to the point where the control module saw it as an open circuit. I cut out the damaged section and re-wrapped the harness, cleared the codes and all the lights went out! It was truly a wonderful moment.
Wow, thanks. I need to dig deeper in case of something like this.
My car still drives w no dash lights as long as I don’t turn it off and then back on within 7-10 mins. Meaning, I can start the car and drive all day and all night...but, if I turn if off then go back in a few minutes and start it the ABS dash lights will stay on. Resets after off another 10 mins or so. Weird
