It seems I have a cracked chrome headlamp ring, and it is causing my lens to fog up. Does anyone know how to replace the chrome headlamp ring? I got the replacement ring, but I don't know how to get the existing one off the hood.

 

My headlamps and my driving lamps fog up whenever the humitity is very high, and nothing is cracked that I can see. It's distressing, for sure. Let me know what you find out.

I actually found a fine crack on the ring. It's so fine that my wife can't see it. Anyway, is there someone with the service manual who can check this for me? I have an service apointment in December, and if I can't figure it out by then, I will have to pay them to fix it.

as far as I know the entire headlight is one big assembly - not a la carte
