No spark.
so it’s been about 4 months since I started dealing with a crank, with no spark. After the starter failed on my 2003 Mini Cooper s. I replaced starter, did not fix, replaced plugs, wires, coil, battery, coil wire pig tail, and checked all fuses, all relays. Then sent it to and Indy shop we’re they did all the same test I did again including fuel pressure, pump, leak down, compression, was told everything checked out but they thought maybe computer. Sent to mini dealership where they charged me a lot of money to get me no further then I was, and they thought maybe dme, so I sent the dme away to be fixed. They said that there was a blown transistor or something like that. Put dme back in and still nothing. No spark still getting p2301 and P2304. I’ve been reading other post about similar issues and some have no conclusion some have what I’ve already done. Really need help at my wits end with all this .

It was at mini dealership for about a month and they check all wiring grounds everything and fix or repaired everything they found faulty. The key is chiming right, but could there still be a key ews problem? Or a software problem? I have the service engine soon light on as well as Mel light and traction control light on.

So I have done more research and found out there is an inertia switch in the early minis, I don’t not have the switch and I do more reading and found out they incorporated it into the srs in the later models, on of my fuses are blown but my starter do burn up and I needed to replace it, know it cranks but won’t start. I was hit the day before it died right passenger side door. Started the car once after being hit and drove about a mile then started burnt up and and shut the car off. Is there a code for srs? Car has been down for almost 6 months any help would be great. Had dme repaired because that’s what the dealership said the next step would be to replace it but I don’t have $2600 to drop on it.
