safety neutral switch or safety start switch
safety neutral switch or safety start switch
Hi I'm looking for an answer to the safety neutral switch on the 07 s Series I've diagnosed that it is the safety neutral switch that does not allow the car to start because they took the switch off the side of the master cylinder and attached to a magnet to it which then allowed me to start the car although now I'm having problems because it won't shift into gear while being started with the magnet can somebody tell me what's going on and how I can fix that without hopefully replacing the master cylinder
If the problem is just the safety switch why would your need to replaced the master cylinder?
i read somewhere that if you bridged the safety wires switch it would disable the cruise control, but you said you can’t put it in gear ?
mines was a r52 manual, I did Bridget them temporarily while troubleshooting the starting issues on/off.
it turned out to be the starter.
check the voltage at the starter selenoide while cranking you should see 12+ volts there.
