So this noise has been occurring when I accelerate. It happens at every gear. I just flushed the transmission fluid and replaced it but this was going on even before that.
remove the valve cover and take a look....usually with weird noises, it isnt a good idea to over rev the engine. you might make the issue even worse let's see if the chain was slapping around or the timing rail is cracked.
Hard to tell. If it is the belt end of the motor can be timing chain. We had similar noise on the belt side, sounded terrible, and it was a completely worn out alternator bearing. Bottom line I don't know, but offer you support on your journey.
I replaced the timing chain and tensioner as well as the belt. I think it might have something to do with the clutch because I did all this, and the noise goes away as soon as I press the clutch in.
