timing chain tensioner--the feels

so, ive had the "tappity tap tap tap" not loud or obnoxious and from assuming from reading, and having 106k mi, I decided to replace the tensioner. Got it out fine, ect. what is a "good" one supposed to feel like? free moving when squishing it? the one i pulled out has 2 noticeable clicks at just pushed in and at half way, then goes a bit further and cant be pressed any more. there isnt any grinding feeling when im pressing it in, just the 2 clicks. TYIA- Matt

What is the advantages of priming the tensioner versus not primed?
would it makes a difference? I watched YouTube and the person saying to prime it before
installation. To prime it you need to submerged the tensioner with oil then keep pumping until its hard to push. You will noticed bubbles will escape from the oil surface. I dont know if this is important or not. Just my thought....

ill look in to the priming... just watched the modmini video for it(I think this was the 4th time...); he didn't say anything about it. I'm not saying right or wrong, but his videos haven't led me astray yet.
