Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S(R56), and Cabrio (R57).
The top taillight on my 2009 Mini Cooper stopped working. I got a new bulb, but this did not help. I switched the light bulb casing from top to bottom and the bottom light was now the one not working.
So I know the problem is not with the this part (picture 1), but with this part (picture 2-5).
Any idea why it would not work? I made sure the metal part of the part in figure 2-5 touches the metal on picture 1, but to no avail.
Also, any idea of it's possible to buy just one of these? Picture 1
All, I read more and more about melted plastic, and even though I did not really see much melted plastic, I scraped every inch of the metal with a set of box-cutters, and it did the trick!
