Spark plug wires

I recieved a Moss MINI catalog in the mail yesterday, and in it there were these "Live Wires" Spark Plug wires for $95. They claim to improve 0-60 time by one second. Any word on these? Is it BS or do they really work? What about on a stock engine?
Thanks
Marco

I haven’t used the Live Wire plug wires, but I’m using some Kingston 9 MM plug wires and think my starting performance and smooth throttle response has improved noticeably over the stock wires. As far as the time improvement for 0 to 60 I couldn’t say because I didn’t have a baseline to compare it to. It does seem better according to the Butt-O-Meter though.

I’m also using the Denso Iridium plugs.

From what I hear, those claims are unfounded. Better wires will give you better/smoother throttle response and possible slightly better mileage but other than that, not much. The built in capacitor in the wire stores the voltage until it's needed but all that's controlled by the ECU so it doesn't do much. A good set of 8.5 or 9 mm wires will do you fine (or better).

I have the Nology wires and while I think the smoothed thing out a little, I installed the IK-22 plugs at the same time so who knows Probably more "Bling" than anything but I still like them. That being said, reducing 0-60 times is questionable and by one second is BS

from what i have read, it depends more on the car and size of the factory wires, that determines if and how much of an improvement the wires make.

but they still make the engine bay look a lot more appealing
