2010 cooper base model no spark in all cylinders

My wifes cooper has no spark. Everything else seems to work except the wipers. We had the car at a friends for some paint work and the battery went dead. His helper cleaned the battery cables and it wouldnt start. I went over to look at it and discovered no spark. Also found water in the cabin by the fuse box on the passenger side footwell. I Pulled the fuse box out and cleaned the white corrosion off the the fuse box connections, re-installed it and still no spark. I did a compression check and the reading were #1,40 psi,#2,150psi,#3,130psi and #4 had 150psi. The car has never given us a problem since owning it.

If the fuse box got corroded, i think it could be damaged. You can get another one from a donor car with same part number.

Would it cause no spark to all cylinders?

It would because the communication between the DME and the fuse box aren't properly established/faulty. I have a flooded CM that would start at times and other times it wouldn't it. I replaced the fuse box alonflg with other things (the water was a bit too high) and all is good.

Also, you could try checking the ground wire on the valve cover and on the engine mount bracket.

I have a feeling this on is from a turbo charged one. Does it match the part number?

You are correct. It is a match. Go for it or if you find a cheaper one

In general, it will do the work and function normally. You could program it later at anytime using Winkfp and NCS expert or ISTA/P.

Well I installed the fuse box I bought off ebay. Hit the starter and she fired right up. Now I need to figure out why water got in the car.

Got a sunroof? check the drains, clogs resulting in water in the car is a common problem.
