Whats going on guys. I have an r50 base model Mini. It is a 2005, I got it with 89,000 miles on it now 3 years later it has 133,000. Great car, love to scoot around in it. I however have noticed that there is a ticking noise almost every single time I let out my clutch but only after the car has been sitting for 5-10 minutes. It used to be less frequent but I have noticed it has only gotten worse and happens way more often now. Its one loud tick when the clutch is about 3 quarters of the way out. I dont know if this is within the motor or the axles, I just cannot figure it out. The car still runs and drives, its just when I take off after letting it sit for a few minutes, it makes the noise and I am getting super annoyed with it I am from Troy, NY and I am just trying to take the initiative to get this thing fixed by doing it myself. I already replaced the timing chain tensioner, as I was told that the chains do not need to be rebuilt. I do not necessarily know if that is true or not, just what I have been told. Really want to get the basics done to this car before I get some coils and wheels for it. Few more things; whats a good coilover brand (not raceland) that comes with everything you need for assembly that is budget friendly but still great quality? Also, I have noticed that when I am going backwards and put my foot on the brake just a tad bit, the passenger front side brake sounds brittle and makes a super loud noise like metal on metal, I just replaced the pads too. Idk if the caliper may be out of place or not? Any answers you guys have I would greatly appreciate and thank you for taking the time to read! Message me with answers or comment below!!!
