Hi all,

Car info: 2008 R55 S with 182,000 miles, manual trans.

Yesterday the mini lost power to the point where it wouldn't climb a small incline and began idling erratically and violently (shaking), however, I could rev the motor and it would smooth out and sound fine.

I tried revving the engine and releasing the clutch hoping but it wouldn't rev with the clutch engaged.

A coworker scanned the code today and got: P3112 - Cylinder 4 High Pressure Injector Low Side Circuit Open

A search of the forums and google seem to show no one has inquired about this problem previously.

The car was bought used a few months ago, i'm unsure if the HPFP has ever been replaced or if the valves have been cleaned, etc.

Any ideas????

two days later i was able to drive it without issue the remaining 1/4 mile to my work where it has sat. I just cleared the code and will attempt to drive it in the coming days and see what happens. hopefully nothing.
