Anyone tried AC Pro?

Hello all,

My '06 MCS doesn't push out the coldest air, and it takes a while before it makes any difference. I was thinking of trying AC Pro from the auto parts store.
Has anyone here used it, was it effective?

Thanks!

AC Pro works but the bigger question is whether you have hooked up any gauges and figured out what you have. Item # 20 in the below thread has some good info on the AC system.

If AC Pro is a DIY A/C recharge kit, just remember to not overcharge your system with refrigerant. The system will take the overcharge, but then not work. Buy or use some real gauges to be sure.

I used it about 3 weeks back on my 05, S.
Worked fine in my case. As noted above, no matter how much I "tried...!" to get the pressure a little higher, apparently the pressure in the can would not overcome the pressure in the cars system, and about the center of the "green" area on the gage (don't recall the actual pressure).
Also, in my case, the system took a very little additional refrigerant/pressure to work well, less than half a can. I feel cheated...payed good money for the damn can..!

Get a set of gauges from harbor freight for about $40. It’s too easy to overcharge your system without knowing pressure readings which are based on ambient temperature. You can blow your compressor easier than you think by overcharging. Besides, r134a is only about $5 a can if you go the gauge route.
