The HPFP tear down thread was a very interesting read. I have an '11 R55 with N18. I am curious about the initial N18 Continental HPFP, part number 13517592429. It was used manufacturing dates June 2010 to March 2012 when the Bosch was introduced.



So my questions are:

1. What is the difference between the 13517592429 and the predecessor Continental pumps used on the N14? I hoped better o-rings.



2. Is this revision any more reliable than the predecessor on the N14, i.e. less likely to have repeat failures?
