2013 MCS Noob Question...

First off, a BIG THANK YOU to the wealth of support and information here! I'm new to mini's -- my wife's is a very nice 2013 2dr/hatch Smod. Off warranty now and hitting 48,000 miles. I've seen a lot of threads about the problems with earlier models but not the later (I think it's an N18) GenII's.
I'm no stranger to maintenance and wrenches but I'm a complete stranger to the Mini...
I'm sure this question's already been answered but I've moused around the forum quite a bit and haven't found anything -- just need a link to the right threads probably...

I've changed the serpentine belt (BRILLIANT advice to cut the old belt off to get it the fark outa the way!) and the spark plugs. Brake pads will be next.
What should I be concerned with specifically on the 2013+ with the 6sp tranny and turbo (N18?) engine?
Would like to be able to plan ahead if there's known issues that I should attend to as preventative maintenance.

Later N18’s are fairly reliable and more than the older N14’s. The low mileage such as yours, I can’t think of any major issues you should be concerned with now. Expect turbo wastegate issues around 70K miles. I now have over 140K on my 2013 with no issues.

Yep N18s have been very good. Check out the Gen2 FAQ for a list of the common issues- much shorter than the N14.

I did see your post in the FAQ and find it welcome news.

I guess I'm still looking for an update as the N18's put on more miles and receive more DIY attention.
