slave Cylinder issue

slave Cylinder issue

Hello first time here I have a 05 Mini s r53 couple months ago It was having trouble going in gear so I replaced master and slave cylinder’s everything went to working agian so last week started having same issue agian got to point of clutch pedal would not come back up had a look slave cylinder had failed leaking so went to in store auto store bought new one got system to bleed took awhile but then slave cylinder started leaking g agian what could be the problem didn’t even get to drive it it is like there is to much pressure and when I did have full pressure it would still not go in gear so pretty sure I need a clutch but trying to figure out other issue first

Search here, there is also a good video on youtube. Did you compress the slave before installing? I had to fashion a tool to do it.

lots of posts on installing these slave cylinders including the custom tools to compress them. I used plumber's tape and some long thin bolts. Be careful not to damage the aluminum arm that holds the cylinder onto the transmission; it breaks easily.
