2004 S Battery Weiedness

so about 3 months i went to lunch and when i came out car was completely dead. After ahile made some clicks and nothing. Went in back battery box. Jiggled yhings and bam! It started. No problems working fine until about 4 days ago. Every time at some point or every 3-4 times after turned off i had to go in back and jiggle rerminal and batrery and it worked. As of yesrerday thr lights in car were dimming fairly quickly even disconnected battery for 24 hrs rconnected and almost started but no go.

After taking battery completely out i noticed that there was like yellow film in the distributor box ehere one of the red terminals connect to. Will clean iut tomorrow and see if that helps. To me its a loose wire somewhere ? Any thoughts. Does not sound like the alternator to me

I had a similar problem a few years ago, I would walk out to my car and it just wouldn't start, like the battery was completely dead. It turned out to be a loose battery terminal connection. I'd clean your terminals and the wires, and then make sure they're good and snug (but be careful not to tighten the bolts too much, I snapped one and it was like a $15 bolt)
