I have a 2003 S that has a working sunroof, but both windows have stopped working. This happened simultaneously. The thump method has not helped.

Have you checked the appropriate fuses inside the interior fuse panel located in the driver's footwell?
Might also want to try disconnecting the battery, waiting a couple minutes, reconnecting then check again.
