Both windows stopped working

They worked yesterday (although the passenger side was a little jumpy going up) then suddenly today... it's like someone pulled a plug. Hit the switch, nothing. I had this same thing happen on the passenger side window last summer. It wouldn't roll down for a few weeks by switch, by key in the door or by remote (so the switch isn't bad). Then suddenly, it started back up. Both times the window(s) failed in summer. It was 108 today so I think it MAY be heat related. Thinking a fuse? Bad connection?

Thoughts?

Do you hear a clicking sound when you toggle the window switches up or down?

If so, there is an easy temporary fix: channel your inner Bruce Lee and punch the door!!

Worked like a charm for me

No sound beyond the sound of pushing the toggle. The driver's side window started working again on its own, I've banged on the passenger side door but that hasn't helped.

Give it a good stiff smack right above the speaker. With the passenger side one try hitting the door while the door is opened and holding down the toggle switch. Sometimes mine takes about 10 hits before it goes down then it will be good for about a month.

Needy little cars we drive. but i love them.

Smacking the door finally worked this morning. It's strange that both windows chose to stop working at the exact same time. Thanks guys.

Seems to happen most in really hot weather. Keep an eye on the window when you open the doors if it doesn't pop down a bit and you close the door the window can scratch up the rain gutter really bad. Or in my case crack the A-pillar between the window and the windshield. People think i'm nice when i open the door for them when i'm really just making sure that the window is working.
