Fog Lamps and Interior Lights Not Working after Tint

Hi, All.

so I’m in Vegas where it’s stupid hot so we tint our front windshields 70%. Since I tinted it, my front lamps and interior lights in he headliner are no longer working. Mini said that the rain sensor is messed up (even though we didn’t tint over it) and that the front windscreen needs it’s tint removed. Has anyone experienced this? Could the rain sensor have gotten water in it during the tint process and is it now damaged somehow and would this cause my interior lights, fog lights to not work and a PDC Malfunction error? I have an F60

Check fuses! I don't understand what they are saying, but MINI will always want your car stock when diagnosing issues.

You posted in 1 gen section, should be in Countryman F series section for more eyeballs on the situation.

Thanks, someone in the Countryman F section told me to post it here. I'll see if I can post it in a place that makes more sense. Will check fuses as well.

I thought adding tint to front glass was illegal?

70% tint on the front glass is definitely illegal in any states, even in the city that keep the secret in. The light sensor is in the mirror, not just the glass.

What do you mean in the mirror, not just the glass? What I'm asking is if it's possible during the tint process that something got messed up. The Mini Mechanic says that interior lights, parking sensor, and fog lights don't work because the tint is messing with the electrical circuit.

Not here to discuss what's legal and what isn't. Would love to stay on topic.

Thanks,
Joey
