Black smoke when accelerating

Hey guys just bought my first 2007 mini S and when I punch the accelerator it throws black smoke out the rear exhaust any ideas if it’s burning rich or burning oil please fill me in

Assuming its not tuned, how's the air filter?

Blueish white smoke would mean burning oil, black smoke means running rich
