Power steering failing: get a reubilt one or a >2005 used one?

Hello,
the power steering pump on my 2002 R50 is failing, from times to times it shuts off. No big deal for me but a huge one for <100 lbs wife.

Being in a country with no "big **** of the law" to keep car makers in check with "punitive damages" there is no free pump replacement for me.

My options now are:

-Get a rebuilt power steering pump, around ~200€ on ebay

-Get a used power steering pump from 2005 onward (so with the "conformal coating" bmw added to the board to solve the rather hideous root problem of the failure) and just fit it, ~120€

What`s your take? My only concern is SAFETY, wife with kid on board is not to be steerless.
120 or 200 is no big difference, 500 for a brand new one tho is out of budget.

I`m rather in doubt, it is better to have a pump re-manufactured by a a third party or a used but OEM pump?

Cheers!
