Crank Sensor O Ring

Is it possible to get to the Crank Sensor to replace the O ring from the top of the car if i remove the throttle Body and remove the plastic air filter tube ? I think i have enough room to do it blind without putting the car in Service mode ....Is it doable?

On the justa, you can reach without removing a bunch of stuff, on the S you can loosen a lower motor mount and then use a ratchet strap to pull the engine back so you can get you hands in there, but getting the plug off can be daunting.

JMHO, but putting into service mode will only take 1/2 hour at most and give you access to do a good job w/o contortions. Who knows what other stuff you might find that needs doing?

+1

I've gotten it down to under 30 mins, and that includes putting the car up on jack stands.

After you have replaced the o-ring, use some red RTV sealant on the sensor flange as the o-ring will leak again.
