Hi, I have 2006 Mini Cooper S, and I get a intermittent airbag warning light. When I use my Diagnostic Tool to check out the code, it said "95 LCD luminance". I did clear the code, but it always comes back. Does anybody know what that means?

What is the actual code it is throwing?

 

There is a recall on the passenger seat sensor, had mine replaced 2 months ago. You may want to check it out.

Yes, my airbag sensor was also sorted out with the recall.

 

Now that's interesting. I was looking for something along the lines of "P0123."

 

Which tool do you have? I'm guessing it might not have all the correct codes for MINI. Take it to an auto parts store such as AutoZone, PepBoys, etc where they'll let you use their reader, and you can see if it shows the same thing.

 

I am using BMW C110 Diagnostic Scanner. Maybe, I'll took it up to my laptop tonight and get the code through INPA.

 

Does the recall apply to the 2005? I am going in for a power steering recall tomorrow.

I would honestly start with the recall because it's "free" to you. Might as well let someone else do the work first.

 

Just got back from the dealer. They only did the power steering recall (did nothing as it's already been changed).
They checked and said the recall didn't apply even though mine was built right in the middle of the recall dates.
