Throttle body for 2009 MCS
Throttle body for 2009 MCS
Seems that my TB is acting up.
Sometimes the car runs great, some times it goes into limp mode.
I found a VDO one: $210.97
http://www.ebay.com/itm/142262219424
and a Genuine Mini at about twice the cost.
Are both the same?
Also do I need to program the new TB after it is installed?
Thanks.

We have it here for a little less.
Our is Genuine VDO which is the one MINI makes. We have free shipping also.

Its plug and play. I would take the throttle body out first and clean the gunk on the flap that might be causing it to stick. If that does not work, then replace it.
We are working to get these sooner as we just sold out.
We are also here if you have any issues and know MINIs.

I see a pattern here
If the engine is cold it will, on start up, show me the limp mode light for a moment, but it run ok.
But when the engine reaches 105C (221F) temp (according to my Torque app)and I stop the car. Then when I start again I will get into limp mode and wont come out of it. Until the next big cool down.
What can it be?

You need to get a schwaben tool and read the codes or get a reader thats more indepth.

Then you will know, otherwise its a guessing game.
