I tried 12mm six point, vise grips, Stilson wrench, hammer and chisel. What's ledt? C4?

Its a 1/2". Yes it's standard size. Here is a link to what more people do to get it off.

I also tried heat. So far, the only thing I HAVEN'T tried is welding on a nut. But since the temp required to weld on a nut is so much higher than the temp required to melt aluminum, I hesitate.

Top Tip: Leverage (longest handle possible) helps immensely!

Wouldn't work for me and even my mini-jackhammer wouldn't break it loose. I'm going to drill it out.

Trash it as soon as it's out! Go with a magnetic drain plug. Huge help, speeds things up a ton, and no more stripped bolt heads to deal with!

Good luck!
Any update?

Put one of those in! Never worry about it loosening it again, and have the added bonus of being able to put a hose on the valve and drain it straight into your waste oil container!

+1 on Fumoto. I have them on my MINI, my wife's Honda Accord and my Nissan Titan
