Removing the blocks at rear license plate

Just ordered a clubman all4 digital blue this weekend. The dealer said should be here some time in May. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the two black blocks where the rear license plate is. It looks pretty ugly and i want to install a UK plate there. Any advice?

great forum by the way. this is my first mini

Black roof. might add the grey union jacket mirror caps when it's here. The brochure did not have digital blue as an option so did not know until i got to the dealership. I was looking at the burgundy before. Will upload pictures when i get it.

I contemplated the black roof, but in the end decided on the body colored roof. Also, I check off stealth mode...did you have that option?

I believe the rear bumper is different on Euro-spec cars to accommodate the license plates. Pretty sure the black bumpers on either side of the rear license plate are North America spec.

Was asking myself the same question, as I have a Gobadges multi badge holder for the licence plate and these 2 bumps are in the way to install it

Yea, looks like a cap with a spring nut holding it on. I did not check it out when we had a F54 here. I will look next time.

So found this on eBay, confirmed they just pop off but leave a lot of holes.
