How do I remove the metal key part from the plastic case?

My mini key is old and broken so I bought a replacement case. I've popped out the electronics but the actual key bit I don't know how to remove.

Can anyone advise?

That looks like it's press fitted. It doesn't look like there's a way to move it to your new fob with out the use of some form of silicone.

Hopefully someone else has a better answer.

It appears the key was riveted in place. Have you tried drilling the rivet out? I would probably use a plastic type epoxy along with a new rivet/screw to reattach.

No trick to it then? No worries I will take more extreme measures! Thanks
