Engine Swap

I am about to swap my 180k 04 S engine that is seized with a 90k 06 S engine. Anything to be aware or problems I should look out for while I'm in? Planing to change the clutch, starter and axel at the same time. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Might as well do a supercharger service while the motor is out. The 06 is the better design, Teflon coated internals as well so that's a good find

That's an excellent idea! Thanks for pointing it out.

Are you getting the SC that came with the 06 engine, or re-using the one from the 04?

I will be using the 04 SC. The 06 engine is just a motor assembly w/o SC. Pretty much just going to transfer 04 parts to the 06.

FYI: The SC on the 04 is not Teflon coated, but it would still benefit from an oil change.

Here's a pretty good youtube series on it. I wish I had had this available to me when I swapped the motor in my buddies 05.
