:Power Steering Hose Replacement

Looks pretty straight forward other than access. I'm a big guy with big paws. Is access going to be issue or is there enough room to get remove them with my mitts?

Both lines can be replaced with the car in the air, but the pressure line is a booger to do (if you're replacing it, it's rather expensive). Most times we're replacing these lines we've got the subframe out and consolidating the job with control arm bushings.

Biggest problem with replacing the lines with the subframe in the car is the mess you'll make, other than that the job shouldn't take you much longer than 3 hours on your back in a garage, cut that in half if you've got a hoist.

There are three hoses, one from the tank to the pump, one from the tank to the driver side wheel area and then the long expensive hose form the pump to the rack. I replaced the first two and probably could have gotten away with just the first.

The second hose is where you need the socket with a swivel connection. Even with the swivel head, if you are merely using jack stands it is going to a bear to get into a position so that you can reassemble. Right or wrong I put a very small amount of crazy glue to hold the crush washer in place. I am 6-3 so between the size of my hands and my height one PITA.
