Can you sue someone for these freaking spark plugs...I have two cars with same issue and i'm pretty sure there are more like this in the woodwork!

Although a straight engine swap is easy and fast, I would have tried rebuilding the engine. savings are at least %50.

Quick question.

Looks like you didn't have to discharge the AC.
Is that correct?

I have taken out one MINI N14 engine but the AC was released during the accident.

I was hoping this time to put the car in service mode and remove the hood and not have to discharge the AC or remove the bumper.

Is that possible?

Comments?

if u want to lower AC u have to put car in service mode and take off radiator support.
i didn't touch the AC because I don't want to take my chances,I had bad luck on my former cars, when i discharged/flushed AC they didnt work properly after that.

Ok. Thanks. The Bentley says to discharge the AC and I don't see the point (especially for us at home DIY'ers who don't have the machine)

From your pic it looks like the AC Condenser was simply unbolted from the block and then the engine removed. I will try this on my removal coming up. Thanks.

In middle or same project due to this guy. I decided to rebuild with quality pistons. New timing chain as well and clutch too. My engine is in bits right now. Taking cases and head to shop tommorow
