Help mini wont start!?!?
Hey guys,
I have a 2007 Mini cooper r56 and she doesn't seem to be starting, I scanned for codes, and pulled a P15E8, I have searched everywhere but can't find what this means, I replaced the battery but still all she does is crank. I replaced the radiator recently but I don't think the problem is related to that, I mean the car would still start right? I have no idea what the problem is, any help or tips are appreciated. Thank you

Do you hear the fuel pump??
I'm referring to the one in the tank under the rear seat..no fuel, no vroom.
Oh and
P15E8 - Engine shutdown time, plausibility: Time too short relative to temperature drop in engine coolant

If you've used starting fluid through the MAF sensor chances are that it is ruined.
If there is a bubble in the cooling system at the temp sender or the temp sender is not reading properly it may very well keep the car from starting.

P15E8 relates to coolant --- you recently replaced the radiator --- try resetting the code, check and fill coolant to proper level with 50 - 50 mix as recommended in owners manual. You may have had a large air pocket that circulated to the temp sensor. Code is "Engine shutdown time, ---" it's possible that the ECU has actually shut it down, waiting for you to fix a coolant problem and reset the ECU.
For all of the engine swaps i did, i never had issues with coolant being less or not enough. I think there is something else.
Can you check for spark?
Also, how did all that happen?
Did you check for compression?
Do you have N14 engine or N12, did you have timing chain rattle issues, or replaced...etc

Oh..you're far...i would loved to stop by and look look into it. The car is automatic or manual? Take the plugs out for and take a look if they are wet. Also shine some light into the cylinder and see if they are flooded. Charge the battery for now.
I don't know where the ground strap is, but yeah after I replaced the radiator, it turned on so I let the car sit for a while but after going back to it, it didn't turn on, Update, yesterday the lights and everything were flickering, and the radio was on and off and some windows were moving by themselves, I'm starting to think it's an electrical problem, maybe an alternator
