N14 Engine Question
Is there a gasket between the upper and lower sections of the block? Or sealant?

I think it is sealant. Gasket is only between the head and block.

It's just sealant. We've actually seen several leak in the corner by the oil filter housing due to the factory robot not putting enough on it.
