Moonroof Nightmare - Need help

I recently got a 2008 mini S - the moon roof wasnt working looked at the fuse it was blown - I just plugged a new one and pressed the open button it opened about 2-3 inches then closed tried again this time heard couple of clanking/clicking noises and the driver side rose up 2inches up vs the other.

Tried to close but it wouldnt go back. I took the glass off both the tracks move all the way back but they're atleast 3-4inches off - the driver side reaches all the way back vs the passenger still 30% left

I figured the tread / cable skipped and now one side is tighter then the other. How can I readjust just one cable? I tried manually closing the motor but obviously it closes all the way with passenger side closed and driver side still up.
see example image:

please help before it rains

Check the cable for damage and make sure it's intact when you pull and push it, if not then it skipped and broke and you will have to take it apart and fit the cable. Otherwise, you would have to transfer the glass and get a new frame , the cables you cannot get separately. Clean out those rails and grease them something might have jammed and the motor to chip the cable or something?

Yea, you dodged one there, so it skipped a tooth or out of place?

ECSTuning, what grease should be used to lubricate the rails?
