Creaky Clutch and Helicoptor Sound

Hey guys, I have been looking around for the past few hours and I saw a similar post but there was no diagnostic.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ky-clutch.html

I am noticing a helicopter noise on occasion that disappears when I press on the clutch, I am wondering if these two are related. My clutch feels slightly creaky, now I haven't really driven any other manual cars so I don't really have a baseline. Now, my 06 JCW only has 11,200 miles on it, it's practically new.

I have a warranty plan that covers exactly this:

Most likely a failing throwout bearing from the description.....they tend to fail on gen1 cars, often before the clutch.

If it makes a bit of a Chewbacca sound....then it's the flywheel springs/weights getting stuck....also kinda common.

No chewbacca sound.

So that throwout bearing, is that a part of something that is covered under my after market warranty? It says any internal lubricated part within the transmission. It would suck if things that regularly fail on these cars are not covered by this plan.

I doubt that the throwout bearing is not going to be included since it's not really inside the transmission with all the parts lubricated internally there. It's going to be considered like it is part of the clutch assembly, and I don't think they're every covered. Too bad because the labor to get to it means you might as well change the whole clutch as well.

To change the throw-out bearing, you basically do a full clutch job.....so 99% labor...if you do one, you to the other when you do a clutch/throwing bearing....usually not worth the tiny $ saved to not do both.
A clutch is usually wear and tear, regular maintenance, like gas and oil....when covered, they are usually very explicit in saying one clutch during the life of the warrenty....and then it more of a pre-paid repair....

Nice, and I am sure to get a diag it's going to cost a lot because they have to do a lot to get at it.

It isn't bad, the noise is intermittent and the clutch just is a little creaky...

I think I have the WebMD effect with cars and it's maybe why I dump them so fast. I take something small, research it and think I have an issue when it's not really there or a non-issue. I've had 2 different people drive it and they say nothing about it. In fact, they say it drives great... It doesn't negate the fact that I still feel it and it's now on my radar...
