cold start battery error & now power steering

cold start battery error & now power steering
2nd time in a week I've got a cold startup battery light and no power steering.
It goes away after a minute and I tested the voltage at idle and it's putting out 14v, battery had 12.1v when car was shut off
this sound like the alternator is starting to go out? No abnormal sounds and the harmonic balancer looks fine as far as I can tell
