Lock Receiver Frequency

I have not been able to find this information anywhere so far so I will ask now. I have a Lock Remote Control Receiver, or "Control Unit F Radio Remote Control" per RealOem.com that is going out. The options are 315 MHZ or 433 MHZ. How do I determine which one I have without tearing into my car to find it and see?

You can look on your key and see if the printing is still readable. The frequency and other info is on the back of my '05 key in really small print and I think was 315 MHZ. It might also be labeled on your control unit.

What year is your car, or what style key remote do you have?

It is based on country. BMW/MINI use 315 MHz in the US.

You'll see it listed if you enter your VIN here: http://bimmer.work/
