HELP! R52 wont start! Coil pack?
So about a week or so ago I attempt to go to work and my R52 started for about 2 seconds and then quit. Now it just turns over but no fire at all. I was able to get to the fuel pump and determined that it is kicking on. I can hear it as well as feel the vibration when turning the key on. After pulling a plug and grounding it off I have found out that I'm not getting any spark on the plugs (this is with the new and old plugs). My current coil pack does have the 3rd contact being corroded but I did sand the corrosion off and reinstall. Could my coil pack still be the problem why I'm not getting any fire? Please help, I'm starting to get desperate in getting my car to start.

How old are your plugs? Have you plugged into your OBDII port and checked for faults?

I've never seen a coil pack fail on both coils simultaneously. Not to say it couldn't happen.
If you're not getting any spark you need to confirm the coil pack is connected to the DME, then confirm you have a good clean ground on the large ground strap on the passenger side as well as the small ground on the drivers side that is fastened by a 10mm nut to the fender along with another small ground. If your grounds check out you'll need to look at the crank sensor, it is a trigger sensor for fuel/spark, if you have a faulty crank sensor the car will not start.
