Drivetrain Nology HotWires and Bigger Coil Pack == Contradiction?
Nology HotWires and Bigger Coil Pack == Contradiction?
I'm hoping someone with a little more knowledge then me can shed some light. I've noticed that some people have both the nology hotwires and a screamin' demon or other such coil pack.
Reading up on the hotwires their claim to fame seems to be a bigger and hotter spark, faster. Which they claim is better then a longer spark (or multiple sparks) because of the precision needed burning the fuel.
The Screamin' Demon's claim to fame seems to be a longer spark(s) which burns the fuel more thoroughly.
If you combined these two, wouldn't you be throwing contradicting technologies together?
Would it be better to go with low ohm wires with the coil pack instead of dropping the big bucks on the hotwires?

The SD coil does not put out a longer spark. It's just higher voltage.
Hotwires are nothing more than a capacitor that builds a charge and release it. Snake oil IMO but that's just me.
Running both won't hurt anything nor will it be counter productive.

(and here I thought everything you read on the inter-web is absolute truth.)
